<description> On January 14, 2010, Dr. Thomas O'Brien, of the Ask Dr Tommy O' Show, along with Bishop Timothy Birkett, of Church Alive Community Church, held a candlelight memorial to remember both the survivors and those lost in the devastating earthquake that struck the island of Haiti. Dr Tommy O' and Bishop Birkett reminded the community that even as we face tough times, we should always remember that there are those who are much less fortunate than us. They asked for people to look inside themselves and find a way to donate in any way possible, big or small. Dr. O'Brien, Bishop Birkett, United Bronx Parents, Inc. and La Casa De Salud as well as local merchants and community members took the initiative and joined Stepping Stone Ministries and donated a truck load of clothes and medical supplies to those in need. Stepping Stone Ministries has already delivered two containers filled with supplies needed by the people of Haiti. To become apart of this movement, donations can be made to Stepping Stones Ministries, P.O. Box 564311, College Point, NY 11356 or visit: http://www.ssmny.org/index.html
